Bhavnagar, Once the princely state of Gujarat, Bhavnagar was founded in 1743 and is now a flourishing port on the Gulf of Khambhat. For the tourist it is convenient base for visits to the town of Palitana and the sacred hill of Shatrunjaya.

Gaurishankar lake :
This is a beautiful picnic lake, a spot near the lake. There if also a well laid out park.
Takhteshwar :
This temple situated on a hill. So that site provide a panoramic view.
Lock Gate :
The first of its kind in Gujarat. The sea-water here is impounded by the lock gates to keep ships afloat during low tide, that could be seen with special permission.
Palitana :
It is 56 Kms away from Bhavnagar. Palitana lies at the foot of the Shatrunjaya Hill, with the Shatrunjaya River flowing to its south. The sacred hill rises in a crescendo of magnificent templates - 863 in all - that soar in marble splendor to the top of the hill.There is temples were built over an impressive span of 900 years.The 600-meter climb to Shtrunjaya by foot.Lift-chair or Dolis are available for the ascent.

Air :Various airline connecting Bombay and Surat.
Rail :It is on the Western line, that is 761 kms, from Bombay via Ahmedabad and 788 kms via viramgam.
Road :State Transport buses and private luxury buses connects various centers of Gujarat. It is situated 791 kms. From Bombay via Ahmedabad, 200 Kms. From Ahmedabad via Sihor.
